I'm a people watcher, but I also get my characters from images and news stories.Kari Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04404956407734167300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7021826296342479548.post-52399230261206443642011-02-02T18:51:15.959-05:002011-02-02T18:51:15.959-05:00Besides basing characters on people I know, I eave...Besides basing characters on people I know, I eavesdrop shamelessly, stare at people on the street who look like they would make good characters, and write notes to myself.

Being a writer can lend itself to being a bit socially awkward...Guineverehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10058786129073896210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7021826296342479548.post-86655427468170938442011-02-02T18:22:25.578-05:002011-02-02T18:22:25.578-05:00Ooh, nice post.

My characters come ready made with a look and a 'keystone trait', so all I need to do is sit down and have a long chat with em'. I'm in the throes of getting to know a new character right now, and its a ton of fun.Lindz Pagelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04663646312808701883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7021826296342479548.post-18078170083769398772011-02-02T13:57:43.391-05:002011-02-02T13:57:43.391-05:00Hahahaha believe it or not, my characters find me....Hahahaha believe it or not, my characters find me. I create a "strawman" sort of character as a place-holder, and then come up with a bit of plot and as the plot progresses, the character becomes more real and less of a placeholder.

~LiaBookewyrmehttp://bookewyrme.straydreamers.comnoreply@blogger.com
